Trauma-informed Psychotherapy in Newmarket & Online.

You’ve done the work — but something still isn’t shifting. If you understand your patterns but still feel stuck, this is where therapy goes deeper, beyond insight and creates real change.

I provide evidence-based psychotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, burnout, and emotional overwhelm. My approach integrates Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Deep Brain Reorientation (DBR), and somatic therapies to support lasting change.

About Claudine

You can understand your patterns and still feel stuck.
Therapy should go deeper than insight.

I work with adults who are already self-aware, but feel caught in patterns they can’t think their way out of.

This work focuses on what’s happening beneath the surface, in the nervous system and emotional patterns, not just what you can explain logically.

My approach integrates EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) to create real, lasting change.

If you’ve tried to “figure it out” and it hasn’t shifted, this is a different way of working.

What You Might Be Wondering

You might be wondering if this kind of therapy is right for you, especially if you’ve tried other approaches and still feel stuck.

These are some of the most common questions people have before starting.

  • Many people come to therapy already self-aware — you may understand your patterns, your past, and why you feel the way you do. But insight alone doesn’t always create change.

If therapy has felt helpful but hasn’t led to real shifts, it may be because the work hasn’t gone deep enough into the nervous system and emotional patterns that drive those experiences.

This approach focuses on what’s happening beneath the surface — not just what you can explain, but what your system is still holding onto.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or navigating a big life transition, I’m here to help you work through it — at your pace. Together, we’ll look at the patterns, emotions, and thoughts that might be holding you back and build tools to help you feel more grounded, clear, and confident.

You don’t have to wait for a crisis to start therapy. Many of my clients come in simply wanting to feel better, grow personally, or improve their relationships.

  • This is actually very common.

You might know why you feel the way you do, recognize your triggers, and even anticipate your reactions — but still find yourself repeating the same patterns.

That’s not a failure on your part.

It usually means the work needs to move beyond thinking and into the deeper emotional and nervous system level, where those patterns are held.

That’s exactly what this approach is designed to address.

  • Talk therapy can be helpful for understanding your thoughts, patterns, and experiences.

    This work goes further.

Using approaches like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), we work directly with the emotional and physiological patterns that keep you stuck — not just the story around them.

The goal isn’t just insight, but lasting change.

  • Not at all.

Many people I work with don’t identify a single “big” trauma, but still feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected.

Experiences like chronic stress, emotional neglect, or long-standing patterns can have a significant impact on how you feel and function.

We focus on what’s showing up for you now, not just what you label as trauma.

  • This work tends to be a good fit if you:

    • have already done some self-reflection

    • feel stuck despite that awareness

    • want something deeper than coping strategies

The best way to get a sense of fit is through a consultation, where we can talk about what you’re experiencing and what you’re looking for.

  • Yes! I offer online therapy through a secure, confidential video platform. It’s a convenient option that lets you connect from the comfort of your own space — whether at home, at work, or on the go.

Online sessions are available to clients physically located in Ontario, where I am registered and licensed to practice.

If you live in another province or territory in Canada, I may be able to work with you if you’re located in an area where psychotherapy is not currently regulated. These include:

British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.

If you're unsure whether you're eligible for therapy with me based on your location, feel free to reach out — I'm happy to help you check!

  • Change often feels subtle at first, but meaningful.

    Clients often notice:

    • less reactivity in situations that used to feel overwhelming

    • more clarity and emotional steadiness

    • a greater sense of control and choice in how they respond

Rather than just managing symptoms, the goal is to shift the underlying patterns so things feel different, not just understood.
